Meatworksco, is a meticulously renovated 1930’s motor garage that’s been turned it into a steam punk’ industrial 100-seater restaurant. Nestled off the beaten track in Ross Street South Melbourne. A bright atrium feel by day, and a sultry hipster look by night.
Meatworksco utilises cooking methods from around the world. Not to be confused with American BBQ. Meatworksco is a house of delicious meats whether braised, slow roasted, char grilled or smoked in our hand built 450kg in-house wood smoker affectionately named Betsy. Meatworksco is a veritable pleasure palace for carnivores & the main name of the game is meat.
We smoke brisket, pork shoulder, pork, lamb & beef ribs, sausages, salmon & assorted vegetables. Using a variety of oriental spices, dry rubs & in house made sauces. By day we offer tasty burgers, wraps & meat platters. By night we encourage sharing red meat, seafood & mixed platters
We offer a great range of deserts including classic apple crumble, sticky Date pudding, Crème Brulee & 75% Belgian dark Chocolate Fondant
After 5pm the crowd comes in for smoked cocktails, tasty bar snacks, Meatworksco house branded wines & craft beers.
Functions at Meatworksco?
Meatworksco is large open space which is great for large groups, parties, functions, engagements & weddings. Whether it’s a stand up canapé type event, a buffet or a conventional sit down lunch or dinner. Meatworksco will happily cater for your needs.
The restaurant is fully licensed & we can accommodate up to 100 persons. We have a sound system and AV equipment provider next door.
Prices start from $35 for lunch & $49 for dinner. Drinking on consumption. Minimum spend may apply.
Our normal operating hours are Wednesday to Saturday 12-3pm for lunch, 5-11pm for dinner. However the venue is available 7 days a week depending on your requirements.
